Privacy Policy

Tether saves a small amount of data on your device so the game can remember where you left off:

• –your best score and your last twelve run scores
• –lifetime totals (runs played, catches, time in flight)
• –your results on daily runs, for the last fourteen days
• –your settings (haptics, sound, music, reduced motion, high contrast, catch rings)

This is written to your device's own app storage. It never leaves your device, it is not readable by other apps, and it is not sent anywhere. Deleting Tether deletes all of it. You can also clear it from within the app at any time: Settings → Reset Best.

Tether can post your run scores to a Game Center leaderboard. This is entirely optional and is switched off until you ask for it. Nothing contacts Game Center, and you are never asked to sign in to anything, unless you open Flight Log → Global Board yourself.

If you do:

• –Apple asks whether you want to sign in to Game Center. You can decline, and the game is unchanged either way.
• –From then on, Tether posts your score at the end of a run to Apple's leaderboard.
• –The only thing sent is your score. Nothing else about you or your device leaves the app.
• –Game Center is operated by Apple, not by the developer. What Apple does with it is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer never receives, stores, or transmits your Game Center name, your player identifier, or anything else identifying you — not to anyone, including to the developer's own systems, because there are none.
• –You can stop posting at any time under Settings → Post Scores. That prevents anything further being sent. Scores already on the leaderboard are held by Apple and managed through Game Center itself.

• –No network, apart from Game Center. Tether makes no other network connections of any kind. If you never open the global board, the game never contacts anything, and it plays identically in airplane mode.
• –No tracking. Tether does not use the advertising identifier, does not track you across apps or websites, and contains no analytics or attribution software.
• –No advertising. Tether shows no ads and contains no advertising software.
• –No third-party code. Tether has no third-party SDKs or dependencies. Game Center is part of iOS itself, not an outside service.
• –No data sold or shared. There is nothing to sell or share.

Tether is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children under 13. Because no information is collected, none can be disclosed.

If a future version of Tether changes any of this, the policy will be updated before that version is released and the effective date above will change with it.
